About Us
CocoonMe came about one sunny afternoon when friends were chatting. On one side
of the table was Adtegrity.com, an online advertising network. On the other side;
Marketnet Services, LLC, a custom software solution provider with specialties in
system integration and secure databases.
No one really remembers how it came up, but the discussion went something like this:
I wish we could serve up more targeted ads, which would increase click through…
the publisher would get paid more, the advertiser would see better results, we’d
make more and the end user wouldn’t be so annoyed with banner ads.
There's so much data out there… peoples' likes/dislikes, age, marital status… it
goes on and on. How can you apply personal data to web browsing that doesn’t give
away any personally identifying info?
I’ll take another one please.
Make that two.
<consumption occurs and an idea is drafted on a bar napkin>

Wait a minute… I have an idea…. Using new ad serving technology we can do this.
We don’t even have to know the person’s name! You store the preferences and I’ll
create the cookies and manage the relationships with the exchange.
Hmmmm… What’s in it for the user?
Eventually, they’ll get to see only the ads that fit their preferences.
No more annoying dancing lady mortgage rate ads?!
Not unless your preferences indicate you’re looking to refinance!
The conversation digressed from there but the idea took hold and grew. You can learn
more about Adtegrity.com and MarketNet Services, LLC by visiting their respective
